Unusual Facts.

The first unusual fact about me, given I am a foreigner working in the construction industry, is that I speak English.


Next: I am on time, won’t smoke weed on the job, and will not embarrass my clients for hiring me.


I watched my mom suffer through numerous construction projects in our house. I lost count how many times she tore down the work of contractors after coming home from her job. Back then my dad and I were embarrased.


Later I understood she was right in her actions, and I too started tearing down work that others shouldn’t have started in the first place.


After a few years of practice, people started offering to pay me for this. I got good at it. Peope started threatening me with money. At that point I caved, and the company was born.


It was named “Truly German” to forever end the question, “Are you truly from Germany?” 

It didn’t work. They still ask. Now I just say I’m Cuban. People look into my blue eyes and hire me on the spot.

Payments:

I frequently get the question: "How do you want to get paid?" Listed here are my preferred methods in tiers of desirability.


Equally important is WHEN. Once every few years I run into a client who was very responsive when the job needed attention but once it is done, things suddenly change.


So: Full payment is due on the day of job completion unless otherwise agreed upon beforehand.

#1: Gold

Literal gold. The yellow metal. We all know what's happening. So this is number one choice.

#2: Bitcoin

Also called crypto currency.

#3: Cash

Cash

The continuously diluted paper which has lost 99% of its original purchasing power.

#4: Check, Zelle

If it has to be, it has to be. Definitely no credit cards. The country is 41 Trillion in debt. Don't ask "WHY?".

Employment and Apprenticeships:

We had many applicants over the years. Here are the basic requirements without which an application is surely to be unsuccessful.

Be able to articulate the English language fluently and eloquently.

As a foreigner I stand for foreigners learning English. An alien who lived here for ten years and does not speak good English has demonstrated his unwillingness or inability to learn. Both unacceptable.

Look good.

Healthy. Not fat. Good Haircut. Groomed well. All teeth present. Not smoking.

Read and educate yourself consistently

Work proceeds in an orderly, tidy fashion, with close attention to every installation detail along the way.

Bring your tools.

We walk the finished space together, so you leave with full confidence in the result.

How far will I drive for a job? (not far)

Just like you, when I drive through traffic, the terms "thinning the heard" and similar come to mind. I can't help it. I am German. To avoid this affecting the outcome of your project, we want to keep the radius of operation to a minimum. Lets say 20 minutes from my place. My Location is shown on the map. For some special humans I have driven farther. But they often threatened me with lots of money. Or beer.
